Minnesota Needs To Get On The Ventura Highway

I know what you are thinking.  You are thinking we have already tried this experiment.  We gave Jesse Ventura a chance to be in poltics for real, and he proved that he could turn it into a circus.  But was that really the case?  Sometimes I wonder who the real Jesse is?  Is he this bombastic egotistical selfish individual that really thinks he is smarter than all of us, or he is just smarter?  Maybe he has figured it out that what we really want in office is a pop culture icon not an effective policy maker.  Think about that for a minute?  Living in Minnesota and having the pleasure (like a carnival ride) to see Jesse in action, I find it hard to beleive that he is really that clever to conceal his personality.  He is just not that good of a actor.  All that being said, I think he is going to run for Senate, and frankly I think that we should elect him.  Jesse in the US Senate, think of it?  He could a run on a platform of using the headlock to stop gridlock!!!  Seriously, He would be a good choice because maybe, just maybe, the voters would wake up and realize that the people we are electing care more about themselves than us.  Jesse is really no different than Norm Coleman, Al Franken, or Barrack Obama.  He is just a stripped down raw version of these politicians.  He makes it clear this is all about him and what he thinks, sprinkling in once in a while how much he has done for you.  All politicans today are concerned about their own self interests while constantly telling us how much they have done for us.  Jesse just doesn't hide this fact, which is revealing.  Jesse is doing us a favor by allowing the voters of this state to look into the mirror and to see the real state of politics and what "we" have created.  Are we going to get the message?  I hope so.
